AD Name Change Request
Performing a user’s name change has brought up some stuff I wanted to share.
- Will and Tyler should be contacted first – EKA and nTrack username will need to be changed also. SQL (nTrack)
- Please inform accounts payable of name changes to update concur accounts.
- Also check with Kervin about Citrix ShareFile
- Once you have talked to Will or Tyler then let them know you are going to proceed to do the Name Change in AD Users and Computers.
- Find the user and then Right click on the user and select Rename.
- Usually these are name changes are only for the last name. Also make sure your update the User logon name
- With the upgrade to Exchange 2016 the PS script used to change the login username in the 365 Admin Portal no longer works. The username can be changed in Azure, and it will update.
- In Azure > Users > find the user – Edit Properties
- In Microsoft ECP – Find the User > Double click on the user and then select Email Address > Plus + to add a new email address with the new last name
Check DUO - You may have to get with Mitch to sync the new user login in DUO.
